Tao Yue has worked with IBI since 2006. Expert in Chinese business culture, Tao has an exceptional talent for initiating dialogue about Chinese perspectives, ambitions, and decision-making philosophy. She has given workshops for Shell, Siemens Nederland, Bosch, Philips, L’Oréal, DSM, Vectronix, UTC Fire & Security, Valmont Industries, Asurion, Cobham, EuroControl, Nyenrode Business University, and the universities of Leiden, Tilburg, and Amsterdam.
Business Case Development
Tao Yue publishes regularly on culture, business, and society. As Managing Editor at the Rotterdam School of Management Case Development Centre, Tao works closely with academia and business on case studies, some of which have appeared in the Financial Times and the Harvard Business Review, for example, Is holacracy for us? (HBR March-April 2017) and 8 ways brand can fight counterfeits in China (hbr.org, May 10, 2018). Her guidebook Study in the Netherlands stresses intercultural accommodation and is widely used by Chinese students. In her free time, she enjoys creative writing and has published two novels – both suspense thrillers that involve cultural alienation and adaptation.
